We know that you have many choices when you are looking for a carpet cleaning company. It is not hard or expensive to start a basic carpet cleaning service. Many people have done this and buy used and or ineffective equipment or low quality cleaning equipment, perform all job functions themselves so it takes long to get a returned phone call or an estimate or worse, they tell you that they can remove a stain and after spending hours at your home, wearing down carpet fibers with inappropriate chemicals and treatment solutions, they say, it is a stain that cannot be removed.
We've been in the carpet cleaning business for over 20 years and have highly trained staff who know how to evaluate various carpet fibers, colors and stains to determine the most effective cleaning solution that will remove the stain but not harm the carpet fibers or offset the color of the carpet. We as owners of the company had to go through months of training to learn how to operate the commercial grade equipment that we purchased.
We spent 2 months in snowy cold Vermont learning from the manufacturer directly, how to use his steam cleaning equipment that was revolutionary at the time. We were impressed with the high temperature that produced steam almost immediately. Then we took a class on what 160 degree steam can kill and it was impressive. Mold, mildew, dust mite, microbiomes and other microscopic organisms, that believe me, you don't want to know about.
The steam also helps loosen the stain chemicals to better remove them and clearly does a far superior job on dirt and debris than any other type of cleaning. If you have allergies, this clearly is the cleaning method for you home. And anyone else with babies crawling on the floor or if you have pets and want to make sure you remove as much of the outdoors that is walked in or carried into the home, steam cleaning is the way to go.
Our training taught us how to evaluate carpet fibers to determine the strength of the cleaning solution and how much and how often we can applied without damaging carpet fibers. This is especially important when you have area rugs to be cleaned. Fine fabric fibers such as silk, wool and other blends used for fine rugs are not strong enough to withstand harsh chemicals. You want to make sure care is taken to evaluate the strength of the carpet fibers before chemicals and steam are applied.
It is for our training and our top of the line equipment that clients choose us for the carpet and steam cleaning. Give us a call when you want the best in carpet cleaning.
There are a variety of ways to use steam cleaning when cleaning your home or business. These include various flooring and upholstery dirt removal, tile wall cleaning for bacteria and industrial usage for grease and grime removal from engines, vehicles, and cooking equipment.
A variety of tools to use steam as the force to clean are available. Mops are the least expensive and typically used by a beginner because they are readily available to consumers and their cleaning capabilities are limited. At home they can be used for floor upkeep when tile, vinyl or other water resistant surface is present on hard surfaces which is typically found in kitchens and bathrooms. The grout will not be cleaned unless you attach a special tool for grout but even then, the power of the steam in these type of cleaners and cleaning fluid available to consumers is limited and may not remove all the dirt you want.
Steam cleaners for the home, specially designed for actual steam cleaning and one step down from commercial grade, will do the best job short of a professional commercial cleaning as these steam cleaners have the power to heat the water to the needed temperature and the force to achieve near commercial quality steam cleaning. Typically, homeowners want steam cleaning to kill bacteria, mold, mildew, microscopic organisms and insects such as bed bugs. On the business side, medical offices often want steam cleaning for bacteria, staph and other airborne issues that are common in medical practices. The steam cleaning kills most of these and using anti-microbial paint not only helps with this but has a durability that stands up to repeated steam cleaning. The more powerful the steam cleaner, the better and as well, the higher grade of disinfectant, typically commercial grade is warranted in these environments is optimum.
Dry cleaners often use steam cleaning for specific types of clothing. Certain bedding, carpeting and other items infected with dust mites, bed bugs or other type of dominant insect reproduction that needs to be killed to remove the problem can be resolved with steam cleaning. With garments, body odors and wrinkles are easily removed with steam cleaning. Professional steam cleaners that come with the power and and upright stand have more heat and pressure which is how commercial grade results are obtained and typically what you will find at dry cleaners.
Handheld steam cleaners are found at local shops and big box stores and provide a handy, hand held rush of steam that makes it easy for use at home by a non-professional. There is less chance of scalding and can be used for many household chores. Called portable steam cleaners, they can do a good job of removing dirt from small areas and a reasonable effort at removing stains, but usually it is the commercial grade steam cleaner and cleaning solutions that are needed for large areas and to remove bacteria, mold and serious stains and dirt.
A surge of steam cleaning vacuums hit the market about a decade ago and have increased in quality. Their maximum temperature has increased but is still not as hot as commercial grade cleaners. They can do an excellent job of cleaning though, if there are not widespread or heavy stains and are highly recommended for the home. Their drawback is that despite commercial and pictures to the contrary, they are not meant to be used for large areas or used for long periods of time. This will not only invalidate the warranty but maybe shorten the lifespan of the cleaner and necessitate more frequent repairs. They also move fairly slowly so it is a long process to clean a fairly small room. And takes breaks so you are not over using the motor.
With Easter weekend upon us, many have family in town and looking for places to eat and entertain. While this is no promise that there is any availability for Easter Sunday, check these out tomorrow or next week.

Take a look around the streets of Johns Creek from State Bridge Road to Bell Road, new construction is popping up along residential side streets bringing new residents and innovate ideas in home design.
2017 Design Trends include bringing warmth and nature into the home with wood elements, natural fibers and bright colors. You'll find wood as feature elements in sliding barn doors, shutters and natural wood countertops as accent pieces in the home. We're also seeing black matte finishes for appliances and cabinets in some of the ultra modern, high end homes. A very unique look to a kitchen. We continue to see wood flooring in these new homes and our wood floor cleaning service can take care of all types of wood, tile and laminate flooring in your home.
We're also seeing designers making bathrooms a special room of the house almost an oasis with a definite style and personality of their own. A return of romantic wall papers give these rooms a special feel. And the use of mixed textures with contrasting stripes of wallpaper give new dimension to the rooms. An intricate carving of craftsman cabinetry with geometric and curling spirals add interest and shape to once stately cabinets. These can be custom made or custom overlays to existing cabinetry. The flooring tends to be more of a match to the room theme and color rather than sticking with traditional tile. Rooms of multi shades of blue with antique bird wallpaper and spring green stripes with bamboo wallpaper and bamboo flooring is another pattern we've seen. Our wood floor cleaning process is the same for bamboo as other types of wood. We take the time to analyze the wood in your home to pick the best cleaning solution measurements to carefully clean the wood while protecting it's beauty.
Anytime you need a refresh to your carpets, upholstery or wood in these new home designs, give us a call.
Across Johns Creek you'll see new residential communities under construction. All are keeping up with modern carpet trends. What designers are saying is consumers want more boldness in colors. They're tired of the same loop width and range of taupes. They want bold colors and different feeling materials beyond standard loops.
Carpet tile rugs for the first time are seeing an up tick in residential use as more families see the benefits of being able to quickly pull out a carpet tile that is stained and replace it the next day. It certainly takes worry out of having the children playing or a party with red wine. Gone are the days when a coffee spill on the rug meant a need for immediate whole house carpet cleaning. With carpet tiles, there is a wide variety of selection from colors and patterns to match your decor. With the look of grey colors popular in most homes, you'll find many shades of grey to match and many bold contrasting colors that will give a nice contrast to those gray walls. And many patterns have grey stripes to provide a modern twist on patterns. And with new mix and match tiles, you can create your own rug design!
Cut and loop carpeting continues it's rebound from the 1970s as the plushy feel and softness on the feet is desirable for many. What customers are demanding are more choices in loop size, variations and colors. You'll find as wide an array of color choices in the gray family as we once did in the previously popular "beige" family to match the current trends of gray on walls in homes. You'll also see wide loops with plush pile and a mix of wide and small loops giving a visible contrast.
And when we say vibrant colors, we mean bright oranges and greens. Striking colors that almost ring back to the orange and green refrigerators of the 1970s but without the underlying darker tone. It really is surprising to see these bright pops of color whether they are part of a carpet tile rug design of mostly grays with pops of a bright color or a plush muted orange frieze in a modern home. Since pale pink and blue were the "Color of the Year" pair last year in design, it is surprising to see such vibrant contrasts in color choices this year. The color of the year is a grass green, bright rich green as you would imagine for healthy grass in the yard.
And the final new trend in carpeting we are seeing are ribbed carpets. Popular in offices for decades now, you'll start seeing these used more in the home. Given a softer plush feel and a color palette more suitable for home decorating, these ribbed carpets are making their way into residential design.

It's spring time in Georgia and the pollen is flying. They are predicting a pollen "explosion" over the next few weeks. Warmer than usual temperatures through the winter in Atlanta allowed many trees and flowers to bloom. The late frost killed off those buds which will bring on flowers stronger than ever.
Nothing is better to remove ground in dirt pollen and hidden bacteria than having your carpets steam cleaned which uses extra hot temperatures and cleaning fluids to loosen and remove dirt, bacteria and other invisible pollutants that may make you or your family ill.
We have allergy sufferers in my home and you'd be amazed how much pollen gets trapped in the carpets from wind blowing it in or brought in on shoes. You see how cars turn yellow in the spring. Pollen is every where and easily gets trapped in your carpets and brought into the house through a variety of means.
After the first burst of pollen this year, you should get your carpets cleaned by a professional carpet cleaner who uses only hot water steam extraction. This is the best method to loosen pollen from deep within the fibers of your carpet and pull those out with steam extraction.
We get our carpets cleaned shortly after the yellow stops landing on our cars and then again before the end of year holidays to make sure we're picking up pollen from the carpets twice a year.
During one of those times, we also get the tile and wood floors cleaned. While they don't harbor the pollen like carpets, it's a great time to get a refresh to these floors.
Best to you in staying clear of the pollen....or at least as best as you can during springtime in Georgia!
Having three babies at home all under age 4, you can imagine how many spills occurred either the kids playing around liquids or me trying to do too many things at once. The group of us should all be called Messy Marvins. It took it's toll on my floors. While paper towels and a sponge were often the first line of defense, I'd often find it felt "sticky" even after what I thought was a thorough cleaning with soap and water.
That's when I started exploring steam cleaners. At first the hand helds were what I used. Typically purchased at a big box store, these are really convenient to keep around the house and pop out whenever a sticky mess lands on the floor. Good for laminate flooring and carpets, I mostly used it for the laminate in the kitchen as I found it to leave the carpet too wet, and once gained a moldy smell.
When we installed tile, I used it on it as well and it does wonders. Gets the grout really clean. I'm so impressed with how quickly I can pull this out of the closet and quickly clean up spills. And even after a messy day playing in finger paint, I found that after using a paper towel to get the bulk of the paint up, going right after with the steam cleaner removed all the finger paint mess. Even the fabulous shade of purple brown that was created at the very end when each child mixed all their paints together.
I'm also finding the steam cleaner works well on my counter tops too and removes not only dirt but most bacteria with its high temperature steam. After months of cutting meat on a butcher block cutting board, sometimes it falls off and onto the counters. With the steam cleaning system, I am able to go over those areas and remove bacteria, pesticides and any other fallout from dropping uncooked beef, chicken and turkey onto the counters. It's easy to do when you are cutting large pieces of meat or whole birds. I never knew how poisonous chicken could be until I read an article describing all the diseases that are carried in their bodies.
My steam cleaner helps me feel like I'm doing the best cleaning job possible for my family. The high temperature steam that comes out and onto surfaces I'm cleaning removes staff and other micro organisms that could make us sick. Without being able to use bleach on my granite counter tops, this is the only way to remove invisible bacteria and disease. Check one out the next time you are shopping for new cleaning appliances for your home.
